How are families selected?
We partner with churches, social services and grassroots groups who know which neighbors need help this year.
Where are the deliveries?
To families across New Jersey. Many are in and around Union County, including Newark, Elizabeth, Linden, Hillside and Plainfield.
Can I help deliver?
Yes. You’ll need your own vehicle. All deliveries are done in teams, and we can pair you with other volunteers.
How can I help?
Donate online (PayPal, GoFundMe, Venmo or Zelle) or by check, donate frozen turkeys by Sunday, Nov 22, build your own basket, or volunteer to shop on Nov 20, assemble on Nov 21 or deliver on Nov 22.
Can I get a tax receipt?
Yes. We’re a registered 501(c)(3). Email therippleeffectcommunity@gmail.com with your name, mailing address, the amount, the date and how you gave, and we’ll send you a donation receipt.
How can my business or employer help?
Businesses can sponsor baskets ($50 each) or make a donation, and many employers match employee gifts. Email therippleeffectcommunity@gmail.com and we’ll send what you need, including tax receipts.
Can I bring my kids or family?
Absolutely. It’s the ideal time to show kids the joy of giving.
How much time do I need?
Any amount helps. Tell us when you’re free and we’ll fit you in.
